1) What is
the purpose of the Front Range BOCES?
The Front Range BOCES for Teacher
Leadership (FRBOCES) is an organization that provides
quality and collaborative professional learning to improve student learning.
The FRBOCES is part of a
network of organizations within the Denver Metropolitan Region and across
Colorado that promote the same mission. Independently and with our network
of partner organizations, we offer multiple learning opportunities for

2) How do the FRBOCES member districts benefit?
Member districts:
• Receive
school & district summaries of pre- and post-assessment following the
participation of their school teams in the Professional Learning Communities
Institutes.
• Teams
& individuals may consult with us regarding their needs and ideas.
• Educators
gain access to professional learning opportunities with experts.
• Participants’
registration fees are reduced up to $50 per learning event.
• Are
included in grant proposals and resulting partnerships for professional
learning. (Example: A $12.5 million National Science Foundation grant was
received through FRBOCES and its partners)
• Gain
support in resource brokering.
• Gain
networking opportunity for learning.
• Gain
leadership and advocacy at the state level.
• Gain
immediate access to special communications and reports from Front Range BOCES
for Teacher Leadership.
3) What is the district
cost for one year of membership?
Districts pay an $935 base fee plus $1 per each district teacher with a maximum
membership fee cap of $3120. District membership allows any professional
employee of the district to access the services provided.
4) How do districts renew their membership?
District members are notified of the need to renew membership and invoiced for
the cost.
5) How do I register for events and institutes?
Registration forms for specific learning institutes and events are available
here on our website. Please click

6) What
professional learning credit is available to participants?
Available professional learning credit depends on the event or institute.
• Contact
hours documentation
with a certificate is available to participants in any of the
professional learning events or institutes at no additional cost.
• University
of Colorado at Denver graduate credit-
University graduate credit may be earned for many, but not all, learning events
and institutes. Participants register on-site at the event. Participants
selecting this type of credit receive a grade for the class, posted through the
CU Denver registrar's office at the end of the academic term. Rates for graduate
tuition vary and are generally announced with the registration information.
Additional work may be required outside of class. Questions about this credit
